Nintendo are hosting a Nintendo Direct event this week. The streamed event will take place January 14th at 6am PT/9am ET, 12pm in the UK and 1am AEDT.
The event, as per usual, will be hosted by Nintendo president and CEO Satoru Iwata and will feature announcements and details on the line-up for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS in Spring 2015.
Nintendo’s line-up for 2015 features titles such as Yoshi’s Woolly World, Splatoon, Mario Maker, Star Fox Wii U and the long awaited Legend of Zelda Wii U game. Any one of these games could get a mention this week, but the money can be firmly placed on games such as Splatoon and Mario Maker receiving a release date.
It is wildly speculated that the Nintendo Direct will feature an announcement concerning the price and release date for the New Nintendo 3DS models after some lucky members of Club Nintendo received their Ambassador 3DS‘ this week. The New 3DS launched in Japan in October 2014, and was followed by a New Zealand release in November. Both North America and Europe are yet to receive any concrete release details except a vague ”Spring 2015” release window.
The last Nintendo Direct featured the announcement of the long-awaited Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask HD remake for the Nintendo 3DS. The game is scheduled to launch Spring 2015, so expect it to make an appearance during this week’s stream. The game also recently had UK and US specific Limited Editions announced.
You can watch Nintendo Direct through your Nintendo device, or at Nintendo’s official website. The event can also be streamed through Twitch.
