The New Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL have had their release dates announced for North America and Europe during today’s Nintendo Direct. The consoles will launch February 13th, 2015.
The consoles feature a whole load of new features that differ from previous models such as the new C-button which will provide dual-analogue control, as well as improved 3D and NFC support for the Amiibo figures that released alongside Super Smash Bros. late last year.
A slight power improvement will be made to the consoles too, allowing for greater battery life,a better gameplay experience and the ability to play New Nintendo 3DS titles such as a port of the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles.
The consoles were made available to Japanese and New Zealand markets last year, but a release date for other territories hadn’t been specified until now.
Last week, a lucky few members of Club Nintendo were provided with a special Ambassador package that included a White New Nintendo 3DS XL
