Destiny Loot Cave Simulator

Bungie’s latest epic, open-world first-person shooter, Destiny, has come under a lot of fire by both the press and public alike, not surprising due to detailed allegations of cut content and the inherently repetitive shoot-and-grind nature of the game.

However, loot-hungry gamers found solace in Destiny in the form of a cave, a loot cave, in which they could fire rounds into endlessly, as a ludicrous amount of loot oozed from the cave in a sickeningly sweet shower of self-indulgence and shiny colors. That is, before Destiny‘s infamous loot cave was patched out by Bungie in a hotfix for the game.

Gamers who were fond of Destiny‘s glorious loot cave no longer need to worry, for game developer, Daniel Rosas, has created a browser-based Unity game just for you. It’s name? Loot Cave Simulator or, more precisely, Interactive Cave Shooting Simulator.

Read more details after the break.

As previously mentioned, Daniel Rosas’ Unity browser-based Destiny simulator consists of shooting into a polygonal cave with what is barely a gun, and watching as a rainbow of glowing, colored engrams…ahem…orbs scatter about with every few shots. Also, you level up. However, you can’t move around, and there’s no real point to the colored orbs or leveling up mechanics.

Obviously, the game is an unabashed parody of Destiny‘s infamous loot cave, and it is hilariously awesome. It’s nice for a hearty laugh, and reminds gamers around the world that no matter what is wrong with whatever game you are currently playing, it’s always good to take a step back, laugh, enjoy yourself, and have some fun. Because ultimately, that’s what video gaming is all about.
