Square Enix has recently revealed that a release date is already set for the upcoming Final Fantasy XV.
During an interview with GameKult, Square Enix’s Hajime Tabata discussed the company’s plans on when and where to release Final Fantasy XV. A translated excerpt, from PlayStation Universe, of the interview reveals Tabata’s comments:
“I can not give the exact date, but I can tell you it has already been set – the final release date and the countries in which it will be released. We are working to release the game on time, but it might take a little more time than you think.”
So while it appears the game is not nearly ready for a release, Square Enix has a clear goal on when to release the next entry in the famous RPG series.
Final Fantasy XV is currently in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with a release date, as described above, known but yet to be revealed. A demo for the upcoming game, titled Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae, will be bundle with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, which will be released in North America on March 17th 2015 and in Europe on March 20th for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
