Will Minecraft PS4 and Minecraft Xbox One get a release date at E3?

by GH Staff

We’re eagerly anticipating the Minecraft PS4 and Minecraft Xbox One Editions of the original Mojang game, but so far we don’t know about any concrete release dates, apart from the fac that the games are coming out this year. Will Mojang and 4J studios reveal the new console generation versions of Minecraft at E3 2014 this year? It’s very likely!

Will the Minecraft PS4 Version feature any changes?

Although it has been rumored that the next-gen version of the addictive block-builder will feature a whole new level of high-definition graphics, the 4J Studios have officially stated that they do not plan to change the game as much, because as the common saying goes “If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.”

However the Minecraft PS4 version will have better textures than the original game, much like the Xbox 360 version does. When it comes to gameplay players will still be able to enjoy both single and multiplayer survival mode. Those who choose to survive will be challenged by different creatures at night, while mining the much needed resources in order to create armors, castles, theme parks and basically everything that comes to mind.

An enhanced controller experience

Although it is still not official, speculation suggest that the controls for the Minecraft PS4 edition will be changed allowing the creative flow of people to be more freely explored while playing with a controller. As the game has been first released for the PC its gameplay is designed for the mouse and keyboard controls and players who attempt to play the console versions of the game find some part of it to be difficult, because of the controls. However, it is rumored that 4J studios are working on delivering a better controller experience.

Share your experience with friends

As in the official version of the game, the Minecraft PS4 edition will also feature extensive multiplayer features allowing players to gather their friends via private servers and enjoy creating whatever comes to their mind, while exploring the vast and rich world of the game. Fans would also be able to join bigger communities on public servers allowing for the game experience to become even more rich and unique.

A next-gen of the already perfect block-building mining game

The news that the next-gen Minecraft PS4 experience will be the same as in the already existing versions of the game doesn’t come off as a surprise, basically because the gameplay of the game is unique in its own way and even a minor change can ruin the game for some. Although, no official date for the Minecraft PS4 version has been announced at this point, speculation suggest that it will be available during the second quarter of this year.
