[dropcap size=dropcap]B[/dropcap]lizzCon 2013 could be the event most of the World of Warcraft fans are waiting for. Blizzard officials have hinted that the company will announce a new expansion to the game at this year’s convention. This will be the first expansion since Blizzard launched Mists of Pandaria back in 2012.

While World of Warcraft one of the most popular Massive multiplayer online role playing games ever, it is no wonder why news about a new WOW patch coming soon are stimulating the imagination of millions of gamers all around the world. As 2013 BlizzCon approaches, we receive more and more predictions and speculations on the next WOW patch from all the corners of the Internet. Some are credible and some are no more than pure speculations.

Not long ago, there were voices that speculate on a new class that will be made available with the new WOW patch coming soon: the Demon Hunter. Others however, have found icons in the database that resemble the craftsman class in earlier times. More recently, a new class has surfaced according to the MOP 5.4 update: Time Walkers.

More news is coming from an interview with IGN where game’s director, Tom Chilton discussed the latest and future updates on the World of Warcraft universe. The interview was taken at Gamescon, this year, before “5.4” patch to be released. According to him, the 5.4 MOP patch will be the final “raid tier for Mists of Pandaria”. He mentioned however another WOW patch coming soon that would “bridge the storyline between Mists of Pandaria and the next expansion.” His final conclusion was more than relevant to this article’s premise. Questioned about what the new expansion will be about or the new patches will bring, he said: “Well, you should pay attention at BlizzCon. See what comes up”. There is no doubt that more information on this topic will be released to the public on November 9 at the BlizzCon convention which will take place at the AnaheimConvention Center in California.

In conclusion, we could expect a new WOW patch coming soon and it should not come as a surprise if it will be announced at the convention. Since 2007, Blizzard has already announced three WOW expansions at BlizzCon conventions: “Wrath of the Lich King” was announced during BlizzCon 2007, “Cataclysm” was revealed at the same place in 2009 and “Mists of Pandaria” was announced in 2011 at the AnaheimConvention Center as well.

The last patch 5.4: Siege of Orgrimmar was already released to all “World of Warcraft” players on September 10, 2013. The patch includes a new season of gear, class changes, and new battlefield updates. A few weeks ago however, a mini-patch was applied to the game which contained some more information about a new Recruit-A-Friend mount.
