The Mass Effect trilogy was a success story for Bioware till the ending moments of Mass Effect 3. Most of the fans and gamers were not feeling good about the unexpected ending of Mass Effect 3, even some of the developing team members were also unhappy. This out of the blue conclusion made the experts, analysts and gamers to think about the next part of Mass Effect series.
The Bioware guys were updating the fans frequently about the upcoming Mass Effect 4 till a couple of weeks ago and again it was silence. The news this time is that the company has planned to go for a sequel instead of prequel. That’s something interesting because there were news that the Shepard storyline has ended in Mass Effect 3. It’s more like a rumor as it has been claimed by a Mass Effect 3 forum member. The guy revealed that along with another 20 people he attended an event related to the next episode of the Bioware game.
If the claim is true then we can make an idea about the Mass Effect 4 characters. It can be said that there are two races the “Ancient” and the “Arrogant”. The arrogant have metallic and smooth bodies whereas the ancient have big brown eyeballs. As Bioware has not confirmed this so it will remain as a rumor, however no images or information have been shared with the fans yet about Mass Effect 4.
Now let’s come to that event, in real the news came from a poster of Indoctrination Theory. It is also said that the poster came out in September but it has been noticed now by the fans. The event location was PAX prime of 2013 and a team of 21 hardcore Mass Effect fans attended it. This group was asked for ideas about the stellar trilogy’s next episode. Bioware gave a hint about going for a sequel of Mass Effect and continuing with Commander Shepard.
The rumor sounds true to me as the game developers repeatedly hinted at discovering and exploring. Many of the fans and gamers want Bioware to continue the Shepard story as it glued them to the screen. Fans are of the view that instead of introducing some new races the older ones must be retrieved like hanar and Elcor. The gamers are eager to see a comeback of Vorcha, Volus and Batarians in Mass Effect 4.
The developing company seems to be confused with the storyline of Mass Effect 4. First they officially informed the fans about the prequel and suddenly they planned for a sequel. Whatever the truth is, the gaming community is anxiously waiting for the upcoming episode. I think going for sequel is a neat and intelligent move by Bioware as this is what the players want to see and play.
