[dropcap]E[/dropcap]lectronic Arts is riding high: after they signed a partnership with Disney to develop new Star Wars games, the giant publisher had made an important announcement at the end of this year’s spring. It’s about the development of the new Sims 4, the latest title in the best selling PC game series (over 150 million copies sold to date).
Unlike SimCity, The Sims 4 will be focused on the single player experience (without the need to be always connected to the Internet). Users will be able to create and customize their own game and their own world through the tools that will be made available. They will not miss however the multiplayer mode as they will be able to log online and share their creations with friends and fans of The Sims universe.
The Sims 4 game is being developed by Electronic Arts through its subsidiary Maxis. It will be launched according to the official news in 2014 for PC and Mac users worldwide.
Not long time ago, officials from the company declared on the Maxis’ blog that fans of the game are the element that motivates the creative team behind the Sims 4 development, a team that aims to continually improve their performances and bring innovations. So, according to them, the game should provide a strong and new offline experience. “Users will be encouraged to personalize their world with new tools, but will also have the opportunity to share their creativity with their friends”, Maxis announced in another blog post.
Sims 4 – Features:
– Intelligence. According to the development team, the Sims will be able to act and move more naturally. They will be able to multitask and express their emotions even through they way they walk. The player will have the possibility to choose the personalities and the life aspirations of his Sims and keep track of their development and achievement in all aspects of their lives. In Sims 4, the characters shall have dreams, fears, fantasies, careers, social skills and memories.
– New Sims. The player will be able to select, create and control characters more relatable and more intelligent than ever.
– Emotional depth and feelings. Sims 4 comes with another new feature as the Sims will be able to fell and express their feelings and emotions. There will be a wide range of emotional responses triggered by the interaction with other characters or the events that take place in their lifetime.
– New tools. Players will be able to create Sims and build their world through powerful tools available in the game. They will have the freedom to sculpt Sims with the utmost precision.
– Online community. Players of Sims 4 will also be able to share their stories and households with other players active in the online community. They will earn objects and outfits by unlocking achievements, discovering game collectibles and completing in-game events.
