Doki-Doki Universe is an adorable adventure and educational game, developed by HumanNature Studios. The game will be available starting with the 10th of December, for Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and PS Vita.
The full game will be available for $14.99, and will include the story mode, 31 personality quizzes, and the Doki-Doki Mail messaging system. The Doki-Doki Mail messaging system will allow users to send funny messages between various Sony platforms, such as the PS3 or PS Vita.
Alternatively, a free version of the game can be downloaded, which will be named the Starter Pack, and which will include 16 quizzes, two planets (QT3’s home planet and a tutorial planet), as well as the Mail messaging system. The devs have also included a cross-platform buying option, which means that if you get the game, you’ll be able to enjoy it on all Playstation platforms.
The story of the game is set on the planet Brrr. Playing as the robot QT3, and aided as the alien Jeff, you’ll meet up with a snowman called Junior (I can’t help but wonder if the devs were inspired a little bit in this regard by Disney’s latest animation, Frozen) who, surprisingly, can’t stand cold weather. During your adventures, you’ll be assisting Junior in various tasks.
Obviously, the game is targeted at young audiences. The graphics and artwork seem to be decent, but aren’t out of the ordinary. Still, the visual aspect of the game will most likely satisfy youngsters, and we’re confident that the game will provide interesting learning opportunities. The launch also comes at a great time, making the game a good option for filling Santa’s bag.
