PC Gamers Outed Themselves as Pirates

by GH Staff

Those who took to social media to complain about the lack of field of view options for the PC version of Far Cry 4 have  outed themselves as owning a pirated version of the game. Far Cry 4’s director Alex Hutchinson took to Twitter to explain that those with legitimate copies if the game will connect to the internet and get a day one patch that will provide field of view options.

The tweet reads: PC players! If you’re online complaining about the lack of FOV control … You pirated the game.

Far Cry 4, like many recent games has had a rocky launch, with the PS3 version unplayable. However, it would seem that Ubisoft  has expected issues with the PC version as they believe that a lot of the copies of the game on PC are pirated. In August of 2012 Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot stated that he believes that around 93-95 percent of games on PC are pirated. A number that seems incredibly high and if was true the PC market would cease to exist. Nonetheless, piracy is a issue for the PC community.

Just as a personal side note, if you don’t pay for the game, you have no right to complain about the product that you did not pay for.
