[dropcap size=dropcap]X[/dropcap]box One will arrive in stores in just a couple of weeks. Until then, Microsoft released a new list of several new games that will be released exclusively, along with the next gen console. Let’s see what the future has in store for us:
Forza Motorsport 5
One of the many new features that may put Xbox One ahead of its competition is the so called “Impulse Triggers”. Mainly, these triggers are analog buttons equipped with force feedback engines. In a game like Forza Motorsport 5 the developers were thus able to convey a new kind of feedback to the players, enabling them to feel with their fingers key moments such as a sudden brake or a sudden shift in the vehicle’s direction. Forza Motorsport 5 will be released simultaneously with the new Xbox One, on November 22 2013.
Crimson Dragon
For a price of $19.99, players will be able to acquire Crimson Dragon together with the new Xbox One on November 22. Those who buy the game until December 31 will receive an additional dragon. In this game, the player gets to choose between 6 dragons and more than 100 different skills. Each dragon levels-up if it is fed properly. The food will be made available through completed missions. Crimson Dragon supports online co-op play mode for up to three players.
Killer Instinct
Killer Instinct will be available for free download from the day Xbox One will be released. The free version of the game will feature a single character but the players will have the possibility to acquire additional ones via Xbox LIVE. Players can also choose to buy the ‘Ultra Edition’ package which includes 8 characters, at a price of $39.99.
Kinect Sports Rivals
A free trial for Kinect Sports Rivals called Kinect Sports Rivals Preseason will be launched with the next-gen console on November 22, 2013. Kinect Sports Rivals Preseason will include a race, one of the 6 activities throughout the game and exclusive in-game prizes.
Users who download Kinect Sports Rivals Preseason during November 22 to November 30 will unlock the “Founder” title, a swimsuit and a special race commemorating the launch of the Xbox One console. Players will be able to compete in co-op modes or in global competitions, against other countries. The multiplayer awards gained by the victors will be available in the full version of the game that will be released during the next year’s spring.
Peggle 2
I am sure that since 2007, when Peggle was released, fans of the game keep wondering about when the next game will be launched. Well, their patience will be rewarded soon, as Peggle 2 will arrive at the same date Xbox One will be released. Peggle 2 features new power-ups, multiplayer modes and gesture controls through Kinect.
