First Trailer for Assassin’s Creed Movie has Been Released

20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for the upcoming film adaptation of Assassin’s Creed.

The trailer (posted below) gives insight into the world of Assassin’s Creed, while also showcasing Michael Fassbender’s character, Callum Lynch, in both present day and as his ancestor during the Spanish Inquisition.

Announced back in 2012, Assassin’s Creed centers around Callum Lynch, a criminal set to be executed, who is taken by Abstergo Industries to participate in the animus project. It is there that Lynch discovers his ancestral ties to the Spanish Inquisition.

The film was written by Bill Collage, Adam Cooper, Scott Frank, and Michael Lesslie, and was directed by Justin Kurzel. The film stars Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, and more.

Assassin’s Creed will be released theatrically on December 21st, 2016.

The movie itself looks OK and I really like Michael Fassbender as an actor, but why the hell did they choose that rap song for the trailer considering that the AC series has some wonderful music?

    • Wolf

I was about to say the very same thing… Could you imagine the period that the Spanish Inquisition actually happened with people playing rap music, nobody would have gotten out alive!

I know exactly what Darth Sidious would say, had he been there…
“Wipe them out… All of them!”

  • Wolf

Somebody in the music dept. got carried away with the Assassin’s Code “Nothing is true, everything is permitted.” by including that rap song in this trailer…

  • Ok guys, so what did you think of the movie? I have not watched it yet, I’ve seen a lot of people talking about it, it’s cool, is it worth it?
