“Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Season 3” Coming In 2016
Not Dead Yet
Even though the second season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead felt pretty final by granting the player a satisfying sense of closure, a third season to the award-winning point-and-click adventure series is well on its way.
Very little is known about Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Season 3 besides its existence and broad release window, but Telltale CEO Kevin Bruner told Mashable that fans of the series should expect the unexpected.
“When we got to Season 2, we had a plan in the back of our minds of how we would make all these endings keep those threads going forward,” Bruner said. “The way that we’re dealing with and validating and retaining all those different playthroughs is really cool and unexpected and, I think, pretty innovative from the storytelling point of view.”
Despite the many possible outcomes of Season 2, Bruner claims Season 3 will continue the story the player has tailored in the two previous iterations. This might prove rather troublesome since Season 1 didn’t have the Cloud Saving option Season 2 had, yet the team appears to have found a way to transfer those save files over to the next season regardless.
More information regarding Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Season 3 can be expected during this summer’s Comic Con event. You can find the latest updates right here at Gamer Headlines.
