Beyond: Two Souls Sequel not Currently Planned
David Cage has recently stated that a sequel to Beyond: Two Souls is currently not planned.
During a Q&A session with Sony’s official PlayStation website, David Cage, founder of Quantic Dream, commented on the status of a Beyond: Two Souls sequel. Cage had the following to say:
“No, there is no plan at the moment for a sequel to Beyond: Two Souls. We love starting new ideas and exploring different directions game after game. I know this is quite unusual in the industry, but we don’t want to make the same game ten times, or feel too comfortable only doing things we know. We love the excitement of new risks to take, new things to try, new crazy ideas to explore; and see how our fans and the community will react.”
Released back in 2013, Beyond: Two Souls was David Cage’s follow up to his first PlayStation 3 title Heavy Rain. Beyond: Two Souls featured actors Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe, in a game that explored the life of Jodie Holmes and featured multiple scenarios based on player’s decisions made throughout the game.
Beyond: Two Souls is currently available on PlayStation 3, and was recently re-released on PlayStation 4. The PS4 version runs at 1080p resolution, as opposed to the PS3’s 720p.
