Trade Your Gen 1 and 2 Pokemon Online with Pepijn de Vos’ project TCPoke

Finally complete the original Pokedex thanks to Pepijn de Vos’ project TCPoke.

If you either grew up with the original two Pokemon generations or always wanted to complete the original (and much more manageable) Pokedex, you may be excited to learn that you can now trade your gen 1 and 2 Pokemon online thanks to Pepijn de Vos’ project TCPoke.

Pepijn de Vos’ project TCPoke uses a link cable that has been modified with a Teensy 2.0 “shield” to link either your Gameboy, Gameboy Color or Gameboy Advance online to a Google Chrome app.

You can find instructions on how to build the shield on the TCPoke website, but if you have $10 to spare you can always just buy it ready-made on Tindle. The Google Chrome app that TCPoke requires to work can be downloaded for free from the Google webstore here.

You can visit the TCPoke page with this link but before you do that find out more with the video below.

So what’s your opinion on project TCPoke? Why not tell us in the comments below and remember to stay tuned to the Gamer Headlines for the latest gaming news, reviews and podcasts.
