Nintendo has recently confirmed that the upcoming Wii U Star Fox title will make a playable appearance at E3 2015.

While appearing on a video for Smosh, Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed that the upcoming Star Fox game will be playable at this year’s E3, while also divulging an interesting feature the title will have.

Minamoto explained that the Wii U Star Fox game will use the Wii U GamePad’s screen as the cockpit view for the arwing, while the TV screen shows a regular third-person view of the game’s action. He also went on to describe an interesting feature the game will have:

“One of the things that we’re doing is, often times in games you have the cinema scenes where it’s a movie that’s playing and you have to just sit back and watch. There’s no gameplay.

“But because we have the GamePad with the second screen, what we can do is have these cinematic sequences in the game where you’re still able to look around and play.”

This is one of the newest features revealed for the Wii U Star Fox title that still has yet to receive a specific release date. Miyamoto had previously stated that Star Fox would be released prior to the new Legend of Zelda title for Wii U, but after the release of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D on Nintendo 3DS.

Gamers will have to wait for Nintendo to reveal more information on Star Fox at some point in the, hopefully, near future.
