Voice actors Robin Atkin Downes and Jay Tavare confirmed on Twitter that they have recently been recording more dialogue for Hideo Kojima’s upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
Atkin Downes will once again be assuming the role of Kazuhira Miller, Big Boss’ right-hand man, in The Phantom Pain, while Tavare has been selected as the voice of a new character, the mysterious Code Talker.

During Kojima Station’s final episode of 2014, Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima had the Japanese voice actor for Revolver Ocelot on the show and revealed that there was still a significant amount of dialogue to record.
Meanwhile, Nana Mizuki, the voice of Paz Ortega Andrade in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, also confirmed on Kojima Station that she had joined Kojima in the recording booth for The Phantom Pain.
Kojima has been making significant progress with the voice-over work for The Phantom Pain, as the Japanese director had five actors—Banjō Ginga (Liquid Snake and Major Zero), Tomokazu Sugita (Kaz), Satoshi Mikami (Ocelot), Osamu Saka (Code Talker) and Stefanie Joosten (Quiet)—doing some of their dialogue last year.

English actor Jim Piddock, however, has already ruled out his return to the Metal Gear Solid franchise—having been the voice of Major Zero in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops—as he tweeted that the developers made an “insulting offer” for him to reprise his role in The Phantom Pain.
The Phantom Pain, the follow-up to 2014’s Ground Zeroes, is the next installment in Kojima’s distinguished franchise and allows people to experience the first fully-fledged open-world MGS title.
