Today, BioWare have finally commented on the lag issues which have been plaguing Star Wars The Old Republic for some players since the release of the Shadow of Revan expansion on December 9th. Many players have been reporting frame rate issues, connection lag and significant ability delay on the official forums. One particular thread has received forty nine pages and counting of players reporting issues.
BioWare community manager Eric Musco has today commented on the issue via an official developer post on the Old Republic forums:
‘Here is what I can tell you. We definitely have not forgotten about this and the team is still assessing what the cause is, and how we can begin to address it. What I am going to do is to work with the team to get a status update with as much detail as I can, by next Friday (although hopefully before then!).’
While the response isn’t what most players wanted, it’s better than no response at all. Keep your eyes on GamerHeadlines for any updates regarding a fix for this issue.
Star Wars The Old Republic recently celebrated its third year anniversary. The game took on a free to play model in November 2012 with great success. The game utilises a cosmetic shop with the option of a normal subscription fee to unlock all of the game’s content.
