A bit of background on Multerer: According to Multerer’s Linkedin profile, he joined Microsoft back in 1997. Later on during his employment, he was hired as the lead engineer on the original Xbox’s online services – known as “Xbox Online” back then.

Essentially, Multerer is the man responsible for what gamers now know as Xbox Live, as he lead the comprehensive design and implementation of Micorosoft’s online gaming service.

Multerer is also notable for being the first person on Xbox Live. He was also the product manager on XNA, which is a set of tools that facilitates video game development and management, meeting the demands of independent game developers.

Multerer’s most recent position was director of development for Xbox. He oversaw the technical design development of the Xbox One.

The Xbox Live founder has not revealed what his “new” future plans are, but if his work at Xbox was any indication, gamers are sure to be excited for what may come next from Multerer.
