Steam has recently announced Steam Broadcasting, which will allow Steam users to steam gameplay without the use of any third party software.
The new feature allows Steam users to automatically start streaming when they begin playing a game. Once streaming, friends of that user will be able to watch the player’s gaming session. Alternatively, users can adjust their privacy settings to allow anyone to watch their gaming session, which would then promote the Steam user on the hub of the game they’re playing.
While features such as recording have yet to be announced, Steam Broadcasting is currently in beta and will likely acquire other features in the near future.
For those interested in the beta and wish to know more information, a detailed explanation on how Steam Broadcasting works and an FAQ is located right here on the official site.
