Following the recent PlayStation Network outage, Sony has decided to extend their final week of sales on the PlayStation Store.
The two sales being extended are the final week in the Holiday Sale and the final Flash Sale of the year — the latter having been announced shortly before the PSN outage.
The Flash Sale will now be extended until Wednesday, December 31st at 12:00PM PST, and the final week of the Holiday Sale is now extended until Tuesday, January 6th at 12:00PM PST. Originally both sales were scheduled to come to a close on Monday, December 29th.
This is the first form on any sort of compensation from Sony following the outage of online activity for all internet capable PlayStation consoles around the time of Christmas Day. Microsoft had also had outage issues with it’s Xbox Live services during the same time frame.
The Flash Sale being extended includes discounts on Dragon Age: Inquisition, Destiny, FIFA 15, and more, while the Holiday Sale has discounts for Grand Theft Auto V, Alien Isolation, and more.
