Rockstar Games has announced that they will be giving all GTA Online players a “Christmas gift” to hold them over until the newly detailed Heist missions are released.
In a Q and A session posted on Rockstar Games official site, the developers spoke about the delay surrounding the Heist missions as well as plans to give GTA Online players a Christmas gift:
“We apologize when this gets frustrating but firmly believe that rushing out second-rate content does not do anyone any favors. Hopefully you agree that yesterday’s new Trailer is a sign that Heists are shaping up nicely, but we still need some time to fine tune them.
“Because we need a little time to get Heists right, we are going to give you a small Christmas gift to keep you entertained until we are done with them.”
Details on what exactly this gift will be were slim, however the developers did give a few more hints as to what’s in store when the gift is released:
“We prefer to keep such things as a surprise, but without giving away any details (no peeking under the tree!), we can say that we do have a few seasonal treats in the works for players on all four systems to enjoy this coming holiday season in GTA Online. Look for details on that very soon.”
With Christmas right around the corner, the wait for the gift and details on what it is from Rockstar Games should be very short.
Yesterday, Rockstar Games gave out more details and a brand new trailer for Grand Theft Auto Onlines Heist missions, which included a release date of early 2015.
Grand Theft Auto V, which includes Grand Theft Auto Online, is currently available for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
