When it comes to mobile smart phones, consumers want the best for their dollar. The days of just wanting a phone to talk to friends and family are over. Now, we want all the technology packed in our cell phones of surfing the internet, downloading games and apps, that makes our life much more interesting, fun and easier. Besides, we want the best of the best. The HTC Desire 310, Nokia X and Sony Xperia C are three of the market’s favorites and they all have their own pros and cons that makes them stand out amongst the other. Let’s take a look at how each stacks up against the other, shall we?
HTC Desire 310 – This Smart Phone Device includes a 4.2 Sense 5 UI Android operating system that includes warp-speed processing. It packs CPU speed at 1.3GHZ and a 4G mobile data support that is extremely fast. The HTC Desire 310, includes a 5 Megapixels camera, which reviewers have said to lack auto-focus and a flash, when user snaps a picture. In addition, it packs a 4.5 inch, multi-touch screen with a 480 X 854 pixels resolution. Reviews on its pixel density screen isn’t impressive either, it is is low, coming in at a disappointing 218 PPI, the lowest out of the three Smart phones mentioned in this article. However, it does pack a battery capacity of 2000mAh, which allows up to 11 hours of talk time and 852 hours of standby time for this phone, which allows it one of the better, if not the best battery capacity out of the three. It provides 512 MB of RAM with an expansion card slot for added memory for up to 32 GB. 61.95% of this device is of the screen. Price: $199.99
Nokia X – This Smart phone device packs an Android Nokia X 1.0 UI operating system. It provides a 4.0 inch screen, smaller than the HTC Desire but wins with its 233 PPI pixel density, which consumers love dearly. It too is a multi-touch screen that adds a camera to its feature category, a camera which is of low resolution and does not have a front-facing camera, a huge disappointment to those who are avid picture takers. It too – as well as HTC Desire 310 – has 512 MB RAM and allows 32 GB of added memory. The talk-time battery life of this device is the best out of each, coming in with an incredible 13.30 hours of talk time but the downside is its low amount of stand-by-time which is only at 408 hours as compared to both the HTC Desire 310 and the Sony Xperia C. 62.56% of the device is of the screen. Price: $139.99
Sony Xperia C – This Smart phone includes an Android 4.2.2 operating system. This Smartphone is the best for its camera resolution at 8 mega pixels. It also allows for front facing camera capturing, unlike Nokia X. It’s display is the biggest of the two, includes a 5 inch display with an incredible 540×960 pixels resolution. Its battery life doesn’t quite meet the advantage of the HTC 310 and Nokia X, with only 10 hours of talk time and 588 hours of stand by time. Battery capacity reports at 2390 mAh. 65.68 % of this device is of the screen. Price: $237.65
Based on this comparison of these three market favorite smartphones, the choice basically depends on preference. If you plan to talk on the go a lot with out having access to a charger during such times, a phone with a greater talk time would fit best and that would be the Nokia X. But, if one is looking for a greater display screen size and picture resolution, the Sony Xperia C is the choice. Now, If a consumer is looking for a little bit of both battery capacity and screen size/resolution, the HTC Desires 310 is that choice to consider. I preferably would go with the Sony Xperia C as I am a big picture quality geek and the Sony Xperia C packs an advantaged punch when it comes to screen and picture quality. I can get along well with the Sony Xperia C. Each does however pack a very impressive Android operating system, that allows speedy date processing.
