A Vita Slim plus Tearaway plus LBP and a 16 GB memory card for £99.99? What is going on!?
For the past month we have seen Microsoft cut the price of the Xbox One repeatedly to gain an upperhand on Sony’s PS4, now retailers such as Sainsburys are dropping the price of the PS Vita Slim to new lows.
Users of HotUKdeals have found that multiple Sainsburys stores in the UK are dropping the price of Sony’s struggling handheld to new lows.
One user who goes by the alias of PoserDude managed to find a PS Vita Slim for only £99.99 in the Selhurst Park branch of Sainsburys. HUKD user jp407 found an even better deal which comprises of a PS Vita slim model which comes with the excellent Tearaway plus LittleBigPlanet Vita and a 16 GB memory card all for £99.99, this deal was found in the Preston branch of Sainsbury. It is worth noting that these systems are all brand new.
The retailer is clearly trying to shift Vita stock as multiple price reductions for Vita titles such as Killzone Mercenary, Tearaway, God Of War HD Collection and Football Manager 2014 were found in several branches. All of those games were being sold for a whooping £5.
These price drops might be a sign that major retailers such as Sainsburys are beginning to lose faith in the handheld as the system rarely receives a major release on physical cartridges outside of Japan.
These deals are not available on Sainsburys online store so you need to head out to your local store to see if they have any Vita-related content on sale.
