Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes

The release of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes on PC has allowed users to create some amazing mods for the prologue, including Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid creator and director, being a playable character.

Intel Operative Rescue, a side ops mission in Ground Zeroes, featured the iconic Japanese developer as the NPC that needs to be extracted from Camp Omega.

YouTuber Sergeanur uploaded a video of Kojima in the main campaign of Ground Zeroes and he even says Big Boss’ trademark line in Kiefer Sutherland’s voice: “Kept you waiting, huh?”

There have also been mods created for other characters that feature in the title, including Kazuhira Miller, Big Boss’ second-in-command, and Skull Face, the main antagonist in Ground Zeroes.

One mod, however, is particularly amusing to watch, as a user has switched the roles between Chico and Big Boss in their initial cutscene during the Camp Omega mission — and, well, you can image how hilarious Chico sounds with Sutherland’s voice.

Kojima Productions community manager Robert Allen Peeler announced today that a brand-new patch is live for the PC version of Ground Zeroes, which fixes minor bugs that some users have come across in the title.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, the follow-up to Ground Zeroes, is rumoured to launch in Q2 of 2015 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
