A new Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire event has been confirmed for Japan.
Pokémon users can head to the Pokémon Center in Tokyo on December 6th to download a level 7 Piplup, while a Froakie, also level 7, can be downloaded on the following day from the store.
According to Pokémon-centric website Serebii, the two event-only Pokémon are marking the closure of the Pokémon Center in Tokyo this month, with a new Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo opening in its place.
Last month it was revealed that two Pokémon events would be taking place for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire in December, as the first event celebrates the opening of the new Pokémon Center by offering the chance to download one of two shiny fan-favourites — Charizard (holding Charizardite Y) or Pikachu — while the second event will allow players to download a ‘special’ Linoone at Jump Festa 2015.
Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the remakes of the 2002 Game Boy Advance titles, launched last month in Japan, North America and Europe for Nintendo 3DS, and the two latest installments in the Pokémon franchise sold more than 3 million copies within the first few days of their launch.
