Just Cause 3: Over 20 stunning new screenshots revealed, will not be free-to-play

Many gamers have fond memories of last-generation’s magnificent Just Cause 2. With the recent announcement of Square Enix and Avalanche Studios’ upcoming follow-up to the franchise, Just Cause 3, avid gamers are looking forward to getting their fix of ridiculously over-the-top, open-world mayhem.

Fortunately, in a gracious attempt to sate the gaming community’s ravenous appetite for more Just Cause 3 developments, Square Enix has released over 20 insane, yet gorgeous screenshots of the upcoming game. The screenshots in question showcase the Just Cause franchise’s penchant for all things ridiculous (in the best way possible) – fiery explosions, big guns, high-altitude antics, et cetera.

And yes, the beloved grappling hook/parachute combo is indeed back, as is the exhilarating act of plane and/or car surfing.

Contrary to previous rumors (and to the relief of many within the gaming population), Just Cause 3will not be a free-to-play title.

Check out the newly released screenshots after the break.

  • Do you want ammo with that?

Still concerned about them possibly putting in microtransactions, and thus gimping the game to try and force us into them (see – Forza 5). Withholding judgement until they give us a real answer on that front.
