The Humble Bundle site has raised over $50 million for charities in bundle sales

When you purchase a Bundle from the Humble Bundle site, you get to choose how much of the money goes to the content creators, Humble Bundle themselves and most importantly to charity. Well the Humble Bundles blog site called Humble Mumble has recently revealed that the community has raised over $50 millions in sales for over 50 different charities. 

With the money donated gamers have helped fund charities bring clean water to developing countries, buy books for schools in Africa, help provide emergency medical aid, help people with disabilities enjoy video games and much more. 

The first Humble Bundle sale started off as an experiment four years ago and according to the co-founder John Graham in the video below: “In that one 11 day experiment hundreds of thousands of dollars were given to charity and now here we are.”

The Humble Bundle community has raised over $50 million in sales for charity already and if you want to give some money while grabbing a bargain or two along with way than head over to the Humble Store which is currently holding its Winter Sale. The games on sale will change daily and  10% of all purchases will be going to the following charities: The American Red Cross, Child’s Play Charity, charity:water, the World Land Trust and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. 

The Humble Bundle site have revealed that they have raised over $50 million in Humble Bundle sales for charity in the last four years.
