The newest monster to join the Goliath and the Kraken in Turtle Rock Studios’ newest game Evolve is the Wraith. The Wraith is a monster that uses stealth to its advantage. It can use a decoy to distract the hunters, turns invisible and has a dangerous move that grabs a hunter and drags him or her away from the group.

Also announced today was date for the Open Beta on the Xbox One, which starts on January 15, and ends January 19, 2015. Those who participate in the beta will be able to play Evolve’s “Hunt” game mode with the Goliath and the Kraken and the first eight hunters across all twelve maps that support “Hunt” mode.
On January 17 players can check out the new “Evacuation” mode. This mode is Evolve’s campaign mode that includes the maps from the game and lets you complete different objectives during the sessions. The type of objectives you have to complete is different every time you play “Evacuation” in Evolve.
To be able to participate in the beta, all you have to do is have an Xbox Gold account and that’s it. All the progress you make during the beta on Xbox One will carry over to the final game.
PC and PlayStation 4 will have a closed technical test on January 16 for PC and January 17 for the PlayStation 4. Unlike the Xbox One, these tests are limited in scope, will not include “Evacuation” mode and progress made in the tests will not carry over to the final game.
Evolve is a 4 v.s.1 game that has four players playing as the hunters who are hunting the one player that’s playing as the monster. Evolve is set to release February 10, 2015 on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
