Ed Boon Hints That Mortal Kombat X May Come To PS Vita

by GH Staff

Mortal Kombat X will be available worldwide on the PS4,PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on April 14th next year, one more system may be added to the list of consoles above if Mortal Kombat director Ed Boon’s hints become a reality.

Ed Boon tweeted out to his followers that he has a MK1 stop motion figure sitting on his desk but the most interesting part of the tweet was the bottom of the image where there is a Vita playing Mortal Kombat. You can see the full tweet below:

Ed Boon took this photo in September but the tweet was bought to our attention via a Reddit user.

He has teased many things in the past about his projects including the teaser trailer for Mortal Kombat X in addition to the existence of a Mortal Kombat (2011) port for the Vita.

NeverRealms last projects Mortal Kombat (2011) and Injustice Gods Amongst Us were ported to the Playstation Vita as game of the year editions months after they were released on consoles, so it is more than possibly that the Vita could receive another fighting game in the future. It is also possible that this is some sort of hint towards the remote play functionality the game will have on the Playstation 4.
