Update: Ubisoft has released a new statement confirming that Patch 4 for Assassin’s Creed Unity will be delayed, as the developers have said they “are choosing to hold off until we can give you the improvements we’ve promised.”

“Rigorous quality control is of paramount importance to us, and your feedback over these past weeks has indicated that it is important to you as well,” The Live Update Team said.

“We are committed to delivering major performance improvements, which requires that we refurbish the Paris map and that will take a few more days to hit the high level of quality our players deserve.”

Original story: Publisher Ubisoft has announced that the latest patch for Assassin’s Creed Unity is now live on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Dubbed as “Patch 4,” Ubisoft explained on the Assassin’s Creed official website that “stability and performance” will be improved in the new update, while the “online matchmaking and connectivity” are also set to be addressed.

Meanwhile, Patch 4 will deal with “other fixes and improvements” in Assassin’s Creed Unity, although no exact details were added as to what falls under those two categories.

Ubisoft released Patch 3 for Assassin’s Creed Unity last month, which was expected to deal with more than “300 issues” in a title that Yannis Mallat, CEO of Ubisoft Montreal, described as being “diminished by bugs and unexpected technical issues” in his public statement

The first DLC expansion for Unity, Dead Kings, is yet to receive an official release date from Ubisoft, but the achievement list and weapons and costumes have already been revealed online.

Gamer Headlines’ review suggested that Assassin’s Creed Unity is “sloppy work” from Ubisoft and, more importantly, openly criticised how “core concepts like combat, stealth and climbing” suffered in this year’s installment.
