This Week on the Nintendo eShop (Week of 11/06/2014)

Nintendo has revealed the list of new downloadable titles and sales on its North American 3DS and Wii U eShops for the week of November 6, 2014.  Here’s the list of the digital content highlights releasing on Nintendo’s digital distribution platform within the next seven days.


 

On the 3DS eShop:

  • KemonoMix + ($4.99)

KemonoMix + is all about training your Kemonos on a strange planet, so that you can use their additional strength to collect spaceship parts and, eventually, return back home to Earth. It borrows a lot from franchises such as Pokémon and Digimon.

 

  • Safari Quest ($4.99)

Available on November 11, Safari Quest is a Match-3 puzzle game set in the land of Africania. You’ll be able to test your puzzle-solving skills in 10 diverse landscapes and a total of 10 levels.

 

  • Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal (Free Demo)

Prepare yourself for the release of Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal next week with this free demo available in the 3DS eShop. In this installment of the brand new Sonic Boom franchise, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and their new friend Sticks will have to save Amy from the clutches of the evil Lyric.  They’ll have to go through multiple stages that focus on exploration and variety because of each character’s special abilities.


On the Wii U eShop:

  • Flapp & Zegeta ($4.99)

In this Flappy Bird clone, you play as Flapp who must save Zegeta from the hands of evil aliens. You’ll have to flap your way across the galaxy in order to reach your destination.

 

  • Pier Solar and the Great Architects ($14.99)

Pier Solar and the Great Architects is a remake of the 2010 Sega Genesis Turn-Based RPG. As Hoston, accompanied by his friends Edessot and Alina, they embark on a quest that unravels the mysteries of their world. You can read our review for the game right here.

 

  • SDK Paint ($2.99)

Get your artistic juices flowing by drawing across five stacked canvas layers. It takes full advantage of the Wii U GamePad’s touch screen. It also comes with various stencils, which are lineart underlays that will help you with your creations. Once you are done with them, you’ll be able to share them through Miiverse to show off your artistic skills.

 

  • Shuttle Rush ($7.99)

In this fast-paced, old-school 2D Platformer, you play as a space taxman called Bob who is stuck aboard a hostile alien space station. Your objective is simple: Escape without running out of oxygen. You’ll need to run, collect coins, and buy oxygen off the vending machines to get out of this horrible place.

 

  • Sportsball ($9.99)

Sportsball introduces a new kind of sport; mixing in Soccer and Jousting with flying birds. It is a Local Multiplayer game where you must flip, tackle, dive and score your way through Sportsball history. It is a very unique indie game that focuses on great couch Multiplayer action.

 

  • The Swapper ($19.99)

Taking place in an atmospheric sci-fi world, The Swapper has the player solve environmental puzzles by cloning his character and taking control of them. It features a powerful and thoughtful story that has been awarded for its cleverness and evocative design.


 

On both eShops:

  • Pikmin Short Movies ($4.99 Each)

Directed by the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto himself, three animated Pikmin shorts are making their way to the 3DS and Wii U eShops for your viewing pleasures. Additionally, to celebrate the release of The Night Juicer, Treasure in a Bottle and the Occupational Hazards shorts, a free demo for Pikmin 3 is available on the Wii U eShop.

 

  • Planes: Fire & Rescue ($39.99 for the Wii Version, $29.99 for the 3DS Version)

Based on the movie of the same name, Planes: Fire and Rescue elaborates more on the story established in the film with 12 story missions and 30 training academy missions.


 

On the 3DS Virtual Console:

  • Pokémon Puzzle Challenge ($4.99)

Take on the Johto gym leaders to become the Pokémon Puzzle Champion with the Game Boy Color classic Pokémon Puzzle Challenge. With six modes to play and eight gym leaders to face, you’ll be clearing blocks for hours on end.


 

On the Wii U Virtual Console:

  • Super Mario Advance ($7.99)

Super Mario Advance regroups two classic NES Mario games in Super Mario Bros. 2 and the original Mario Bros. In SMB2, you play as Mario, Luigi, Peach or Toad as they explore a magical land to defeat the evil frog Wart. In Mario Bros. you try to kill as many Koopas and Gombas as possible to maximize your score.


 

eShop sales:

  • Flowerworks HD Follie’s Adventure (Wii U)

Starting on November 7, this title will now be $2 instead of $4 on the Wii U eShop.

  • Siesta Fiesta (3DS)

This colorful Action-Adventure title is now more than 30 percent off until November 13 on the 3DS eShop, making it $3.99 instead of $5.99.

  • Sonic: Lost World (3DS & Wii U)

The 3DS and Wii U versions of Sonic: Lost World are now $29.95 each instead of being $39.99 and $49.99 respectively.

  • Sonic & All-Star Racing Transformed (Wii U)

This Sonic-inspired racing game is now $29.95 instead of $39.99 on the Wii U eShop.


 

And finally, retail games making their way into the eShop:

  • Disney Infinity 2.0 (Wii U)

For $19.99 you get the digital version of the game on your Wii U. Keep in mind, you’ll still need to purchase the figurines and the base separately to actually play the game.

  • Nintendogs + Cats: Golden Retriever, French Bulldog and Toy Poodle (3DS)

You get a free Nintendogs + Cats 3DS theme with the purchase of one of those games in the 3DS eShop. They cost $19.99 each.
