The Xbox Underground has leaked 4 screenshots of Just Cause 3, one of which seems to hint micro-transactions
Today the site Xbox Underground has exclusively revealed 4 leaked screenshots of Just Cause 3, which they claim have been taken from a debug build of the Xbox One version of the game. These four screenshots which seem to feature series star Rico Rodriguez and also seems to hint towards the series adding micro-transactions.
If you take a look at the first picture you’ll see that players will have the option to buy more gems, which they’ll then be able to either buy or rent equipment and items in the Black Market. While the option to rent these items would be nice, these items will most likely be free after you buy them especially because vehicles tend to explode a lot in this series.
An unnamed source close to the game has verified the first image and told Eurogamer that ” it showed off Just Cause 3’s Black Market. This lets players drop items into the game world at will“. An unnamed source close to the project also revealed that “There was once a plan to have the PC version of Just Cause 3 free-to-play, with the console versions paid-for titles with optional micro-transactions, but we understand the plan changed and this may no longer be the case“.
Also while it may be because these images are from a debug build, the third image shows a combo multiplier as well as a score system. While the previous Just Cause games also had a score and combo system, this looks like it may be part of a score attack style game, if only because of how large the multiplier is on the screen.
Besides the first image possibly confirming that mirco-transactions are coming, the fourth image also possibly gives us our first look at what appears to be our next destination, and it looks like we’re heading to another tropical island. Here are the four screenshots and again it should be mentioned that they’re originally from Xbox Underground.
