Developer Red Phantom Games will be releasing their game ‘Minutes’ in Europe on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita today. The game is described as an ‘abstract action game’. The announcement was made on the PlayStation Blog.
Minutes is an abstract action game that focuses purely on the strength of its gameplay. The game tests your skill with precise controls and tough gameplay.
‘Simply explained, the player controls a circle and moves it around the screen to collect light energy shapes (for points) and avoid dark (which damage the player). The key mechanic is that the size of the circle can be changed. Go small to stay safe and dodge through the dark energy. Go large to collect more light and, critically, boost your score multiplier. Check out the trailer and it should make sense!’
Minutes will feature 60 levels each at a minute length. On top of the 60 levels, the game will also feature a daily challenge in the form of a randomised level you must beat. You can practice the level as much as you want, but you only have one chance to actually post a score. The game will run at 60 FPS, feature leaderboards and trophies, as well as cross save and cross buy across the PlayStation 4, PS Vita and PlayStation TV. You can see the official launch trailer for Minutes below.
