Puzzle platformer Limbo will be free for all early adopters of the Xbox One. Microsoft recently celebrated the Xbox One’s first birthday, and it seems Microsoft have extended the original gesture with the promise of Limbo being absolutely free for early adopters when it releases. Microsoft classes an early adopter as someone who has purchased an Xbox One before November 11 2014 in one of the consoles launch markets and has played over ten hours on the system.

Limbo originally released on Xbox 360 in July 2010 as an Xbox Live Arcade game. The game received critical acclaim and has since been made available on a plethora of systems including PS Vita, PC, iOS and PS3. Limbo is a 2D puzzle platform game in which you play a nameless boy. The game uses black and white tones as opposed to full colour. The game also makes use of ambient sound to produce an eerie atmosphere.

No release date for Limbo on Xbox One has been announced yet, but stay tuned to GamerHeadlines for news about it when it becomes available.

It’s great news that on top of the gifts given to early adopters from the original one year celebration announcement, early adopters will also receive a full game for free. If you haven’t played Limbo yet, you’re in for a treat.
