Publisher Konami has announced that the Good Smile Company, a leading Japanese manufacturer, is preparing to release a new Solid Snake action figure in their figma range.

Based on the Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty character design, the Solid Snake action figure comes complete with the soldier’s trademark cardboard box, cigarette, assault rife, a stand and, of course, his SOCOM pistol.

“The Figma Solid Snake is not your average action figure,” the statement on the Konami Blog reads. “The care and effort that has gone into making this one of the most realistic, high-quality Snake figures we have ever seen is seriously impressive.”

Additionally, Yoji Shinkawa, the renowned lead artist on Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear Solid franchise, has overseen development on the action figure and the Ameba website confirmed he “even created designs for things such as the shoe soles especially for the figma.”

“The Figma Solid Snake can adopt pretty much any pose you can think of, from aiming a gun, to holding onto a ledge, to kneeling or adopting a prone position, to smoking a cigarette,” Konami added. “You can change Snake’s expression with an alternative attachable face, and even change the direction his eyes are looking!”

Pre-orders for the figure can be made up until November 26th, 2014 on the Good Smile Online Shop — by the way, a maximum of three Snake figures can be purchased by one customer — and the figure is currently retailing at ¥7,800 (approximately £43/$68).
