Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid creator and director, has confirmed that more recording sessions with actors from his open-world stealth title Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain are continuing to take place.
Following on from the conformation that Dutch-born model Stefanie Joosten, who portrays the deadly sharpshooter Quiet, had returned to the studio in order to record her lines last month — possibly for both the Japanese and English versions, considering she can speak both languages fluently — Kojima’s latest tweet features the director alongside Tomokazu Sugita (Kazuhira Miller), Satoshi Mikami (Ocelot) and Osamu Saka (Code Talker) as they are set to do their lines for the Japanese version of the title.

Kojima has been pushing forward development on the next installment in the Metal Gear Solid franchise since he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement award during the Golden Joystick Awards last month, as the Japanese director claimed he wasn’t able to make a personal appearance to collect his award at the ceremony owing to the fact he’s “practically chained to my desk” in order to finish the game.
The Phantom Pain has had new details revealed over the past few months as to what players can expect from Kojima himself, including restrictions placed on free roaming when a main mission is in progress, the ability to revisit Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes’ Camp Omega setting and, of course, Easter eggs being confirmed for the game.
Running on Kojima Productions’ Fox Engine, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is rumoured to launch in Q1 of 2015 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
