Since GTA V’s long-awaited release on Xbox One and PS4, the game has now become the best-selling game of all time in the United Kingdom in terms of sheer units, finally overtaking Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Grand Theft Auto was already the highest grossing game after its incredibly strong release on the PS3 and Xbox 360 when the last-gen versions first launched.
While the game did rise to the top of last week’s UK all-formats chart, the race to no.1 was much closer than you think due to a spectacular debut from Farcry 4, making it by far and above the strongest selling entry in the series to date. Also in the chart where new releases Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, FIFA 15, and Dragon Age: Inquisition. WWE 2K15 also made a much stronger impact due to its release on new-gen consoles, particularly as PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game had much less new content than current-gen versions.
Here’s the full run down of the UK all-format chart sales for last week;
#1. Grand Theft Auto V

#5. Dragon Age: Inquisition
