Developer Sledgehammer Games has announced on their blog that there will a new update coming soon for the recently released first-person shooter title Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
Michael Condrey, co-founder and head of studio at Sledgehammer Games, expressed his excitement at the launch of this year’s Call of Duty installment and support received from the fans, while also adding his “team has been working hard on improvements to the game.”
“We’ve also had our ears to the ground, listening to your feedback,” he said. “Our commitment to continuing to support the game and community is as strong as ever, and we have the whole team focused on making the experience the best it can be.”
Additionally, Condrey briefly outlined the current bugs that will be addressed and improvements included in the upcoming update:
- Prestige reset issues, including emblems and challenges.
- Adjustment to the in-game chat names notifications placement.
- Fix for weapon reloads counting as speed reloads in certain circumstances.
- Connectivity optimizations.
- Fix for stats accumulating towards leaderboards after prestiging.
- Adjustment to challenges to unlock Camos for weapons.
- Fix for round-based game modes, affecting Win/Loss ratios.
- Implemented ability to unlock eSports Rule options in Private Match.
Scott Lowe, communications manager at Activision, has confirmed that the first double XP weekend is now live across all platforms for Advanced Warfare, allowing players to take this opportunity to climb the ladder of the ranking system in order to Prestige.
