Advanced Warfare on PS4 Has Share Play Disabled

Share Play Disabled Call of Duty Advanced Warfare

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare gamers who own the game for PS4 have been disappointed to find that the game does not allow players to take advantage of PS4’s new Share Play feature that was introduced in patch 2.0.

The Share Play feature is meant to allow you to stream your game to a friend’s console even if they don’t own the game, allowing them to spectate or even take over the action. Originally Sony had told Gamespot that all third-party games would be able to take advantage of this feature, and there were no restrictions. However, with the recent revelation that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare does not allow the use of this feature, Sony backtracked today stating that third-party developers have the option of deciding whether or not their game will take advantage of Share Play.

As of right now it is unclear what other titles might have Share Play disabled.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare released this week to critical acclaim, with Gamer Headlines giving it a score of 8/10 on the Xbox 360.

What do you make of this news that Sledgehammer Games decided to have Share Play disabled on their much anticipated title? Are you disappointed that not all games will work with Shame Play on PS4? Let us know in the comments.
