Five minutes and eight kills later, everyone was kicked back to matchmaking.

Halo: The Master Chief Collections launch today hasn’t gone as smooth as Microsoft was probably hoping it would have been, as players have been encountering match making issues all day.

Players have been voicing their annoyance on the Halo Waypoint as well as on Reddit where some are even complaining about how long the game takes to install. 343 Industries knows about the struggles and has taken to Twitter to reassure players that they are working on the problems with “We’re aware that some users are experiencing longer than normal Matchmaking search times. We are actively working on a fix for this issue.” They have also offered players a workaround with “If after a few minutes you’re unable to find a match, exit Matchmaking and then begin searching again.”

In response Microsoft has said that “Xbox members, are you having a tough time matchmaking in Halo: The Master Chief Collection? As you read this message, we’re working with our external partner to correct this issue right away,” and that “We appreciate your patience in the meantime! We’ll update you again when we have more information.”
