For some time now, rumors have been floating around about a Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Zombies mode. And, thanks to a recent leak, we have confirmation!
From a post on the Call of Duty Advanced Warfare subreddit, user “Hamad_1q1” showed off a video of the new “Exozombies” mode in CODAW. The video is constantly being removed, but, we were lucky enough to grab a few screenshots, which can be seen below.
The entire video is only about 1 minute in length. But, good luck finding it, as Activision is hitting videos with take down notices very quickly.
The video starts off with the player talking to a soldier behind some glass doors. You toss a flare, then find that the soldier is gone, as 3 zombies rush the doors. You begin to run, seeing that other soldiers are trying to do the same on a walkway. Suddenly, an Osprey/Extraction aircraft swoops over, shooting zombies down, allowing the player character to jump into the Osprey. You are helped in, and the soldier in the Osprey asks if you were bitten, explaining that there are not many of the others left. You look out to see a large amount of zombies rushing and jumping over a fence, when suddenly, a zombie jumps up, pulling your fellow soldier out of the aircraft and presumably to his death.
Overall, the video itself is very visually impressive. And, the zombies themselves seem like they are coming straight from World War Z, as they are very fast and agile.
A fan sent Glen Schofield of Sledgehammer games a tweet with the video, saying “How do you feel about this being leaked, must suck.”
Schofield responded, saying,
