2K and Yuke’s held a WWE 2K15 Q & A for the upcoming November 18 release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Below is a cliff notes version of information.
- Paint Tool is removed and will be replaced with a brand new better mode.
- MyCareer is a single player experience, same with Universe.
- PS4/XB1 will see a brand new main menu.
- Ambrose and Rollins will not have update attires, but you can create current attires for them in creation suite.
- 90 percent of the roster is scanned.
- MyCareer spans 15 years!
- More than Superstar Threads in current gen WWE 2K15.
- 25 CAW Slots, this is for a better CAW performance.
- Rollins, Ambrose and Reigns have their separate entrance and themes.
- No WCW arenas.
- Same commentary as last gen version but PS4/XB1 is more polished.
- New WWE Championship not in-game, belt was introduced after cutoff date.
- Sid Justice is only a ref and not playable.
- Players can get injured in MyCareer.
- Working on a constant update like 2K basketball.
- Paige has all her current moves.
- Current gen will also have NXT stars and be unlocked through MyCarer.
- Roman Reigns has his taunt before Super Man Punch.
- Adam Rose is DLC and comes with Bunny!
- Online achievements.
- Every one on the roster can be edited!
- No custom soundtracks.
- MyCareer has Money in the Bank briefcase entrance and the option to cash in!
- Vince and Steph in-game.
My Take: Looks like current gen WWE 2k15 will be a completely different experience from the PS3/360 counterparts. MyCareer sounds very promising and what might be a game changer for current gen WWE 2K15. The idea of being able to edit the whole roster reminds me of WWF No Mercy on the Nintendo 64. I wonder if 2K and Yuke’s will allow that level of custom ability with the roster as No Mercy did back on the 64. It’s starting to look like current gen WWE 2K15 will be the revolutionary wrestling game 2K and Yuke’s have talked about.
