Mists of Pandaria, one of the expansions to Blizzard’s immensely successful massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), World of Warcraft is now included in the base game.

This news essentially translates to the fact that gamers interested in the game can get World of Warcraft and all its subsequent expansions for the fairly low price of $20 dollars.

For those who have steered clear of Blizzard’s popular World of Warcraft (for whatever reason), the fact that Mists of Pandaria is now included in the game’s basic package for a mere $20 dollars may be a good incentive to dive into the notoriously addictive title.

Including Mists of Pandaria in the World of Warcraft Battle Chest is also a good move for Blizzard in terms of maintaining a good community and player base for the game, alongside being a competent move business-wise.

World of Warcraft isn’t getting any younger, and Blizzard is privy to the fact that newer players don’t really want to drop a hefty wad of cash in order to fully experience WoW and its associated expansion packs.

World of Warcraft was originally released back in November of 2004, and has received a number of expansion packs since then, including (in chronological order) The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria, and the upcoming Warlords of Draenor.

Warlords of Draenor is currently in beta, and is set to release on November 13th of this year.

What are your thoughts on Mists of Pandaria being included with the base World of Warcraft experience? If you haven’t tried WoW before, will this news persuade you to give it a whirl? Why or why not?
