Ever since Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End‘s breathtaking E3 reveal trailer, there has not been that much in the way of of news or announcements for developer Naughty Dog’s next, highly anticipated, PlayStation 4 exclusive installment into the beloved Uncharted franchise.
Unfortunately, other than a few screenshots of Nathan Drake’s in-game/engine model and some scans of environmental concept art from the upcoming game, the lack of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End information seems to be the status quo for now.
However, for fans clamoring for just a bit more of that sweet Uncharted goodness, a group of Norwegian/Danish filmmakers have released a live-action, short fan film based on the first scene from the first game in the series.
The fan film in question is entitled Uncharted: Ambushed, and is fairly impressive.

The following is from the creators of the film:
“This a Norwegian/Danish short film based on the very first cutscene from the Playstation 3 game, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. We worked very hard on this and we are very proud of the result. We hope fellow Uncharted fans will like it as much as we did making it.”

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is expected to release sometime next year, and will be, as all previous Uncharted games, a Sony PlayStation (4) exclusive.
