Titanfall Update introduces 4-Player Co-op

Titanfall 2 might come to Steam, PS4, Respawn says

Earlier this week it was rumored that Titanfall developer Respawn was going to introduce something big in its upcoming update, and here it is.

Titanfall’s newest update is a free update that introduces Frontier Defense, a 4 player co-operative defense mode to the franchise. Coming out as a part of Content Update 8, players will be tasked with fighting off wave after wave of both old and new enemies with Titans plus other toys of destruction. Players will also have load out crates available to them, drop ships they respawn from and can use to fire from above.

Titanfall, a multiplayer only title, received positive reviews, but lacked variety as the game was multiplayer only. This fact was a disappointment to many as the universe is extremely interesting and the gameplay is fluid, both factors made fans plea for a PvE mode; well it seems Respawn is listening.

Also included in title update 8 are ranked playlists, in which players can work their way from lower to upper tiers. Also coming are map stars, allowing players to receive a permanent mark for reaching a certain score on a map.

Two new game modes will be arriving with the update, Deadly Ground and Marked for Death Pro. In deadly ground, players are forced to stay above ground level as there is a low-lying layer of electrified fog. Marked for death pro simply adds round based gameplay to the mark for death game type.

Title update 8 introduces much all this and much more. Read the official blog post here.
