Voice actor and model Stefanie Joosten has returned to the studio in order to record her dialogue for the highly anticipated open-world stealth title Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
According to a tweet made by Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid creator and director, the Dutch-born Japanese model is lending her voice to the deadly sniper Quiet — already confirmed she had been motioned captured for the role a while ago — who, according to Revolver Ocelot in The Phantom Pain trailer from Tokyo Game Show 2014, saved Big Boss’ life in the story of the title.
As her name suggests, and Kojima also joked about this in his tweet, Quiet is meant to be a mute sharpshooter possessing supernatural powers, although her lines might be necessary for the new “buddy system” feature integrated in the game, which allows Big Boss to take an ally with him into the battlefield.

Earlier this year at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, 24 star Kiefer Sutherland, who replaced longstanding voice actor David Hayter as the voice of Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, appeared via a record message and told people watching the event that he was in the process of recording lines for Snake.
With Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain rumoured for launch in Q1 of 2015, Kojima’s voice recording sessions with the actors does suggest he is still on course to launch his eagerly awaited instalment within that time frame.
Running on Kojima Productions’ Fox Engine, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will launch on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
