According to a recent rumor, a new Guitar Hero game might be in development for current generation systems.
PlayStation Universe is reporting a rumor that a new Guitar Hero game will be releasing on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 sometime in 2015. The website indicates that a source, living near the location where recording has been done on the next Guitar Hero title, has reported to them the following interesting snippet:
“For weeks there’s been ‘extras’ going in. One of the extras finally told me what was going on. Basically for weeks they’ve been recording live crowds for all songs on the next Guitar Hero. Today all the extras are being dressed up all emo-style for one of the songs.”
The source also told PlayStation Universe that the location where the recording is being done is based outside of London in a “famous rehearsal venue”.
PlayStation Universe seems to think that this rumor indicates that the next Guitar Hero title will feature a live audience cheering the player on during their virtual performance.
As of yet, no information has been revealed or hinted at regarding a future Guitar Hero title, with this rumor being the first to indicate a new game. The last Guitar Hero game released in the series was Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock back in 2010, which received mixed to positive reception.
