PS4 May Find its Way into Chinese Store Shelves Soon

by GH Staff

The XBOX One just recently released in China, and according to recent trading documents, the PS4 may soon follow suit.

Writing about the XBONE and PS4 releases? Guess I’m just the Chinaman now, huh?

Fun fact: Chinaman was supposed to be a member of Dead Cell in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of the Patriots. He would fight like Jet Li and have a dragon tattoo that came to life upon contact with water.

Recent filings from Sony to have PS4s packaged and shipped to The People’s Republic of China- documents concerning the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, to be precise- indicate that Sony wants a piece of the Chinese gaming market. Personally, I’m not surprised; Sony and Microsoft seem to be pretty efficient when it comes to copying one another’s market strategy. When one company markets motion controls, the other gets rid of controllers altogether. When one jumps, the other takes detailed notes on how high and with what muscle groups, then proceeds to rename said muscle groups and call their jump a leap.

Meanwhile, Nintendo continues to pin all of its hopes on Smash Brothers and is currently sending an official wish list to Santa.

“All we want for Christmas is a Profit Margin that isn’t in the negatives. Oh, and can you get Reggie and Iwata a primetime UFC match? That’d be great.”
