Official Website and Baby in Harvest Moon 3D: the Lost Valley

by GH Staff

childNatsume Inc. has released the official website for the upcoming Harvest Moon 3D: the Lost Valley; unlike the previous predecessors, this particular entry is solely developed and published by Natsume staff based on the general feedback from western audiences. As such, this new entry will also feature some major changes in the game-play but also keep some familiar systems as well. For one, players can still marry a bachelor or bachelorette to start a family.

Although Natsume will provide a blog with more details about festivals and marriages after the game’s release, the official website shows two screenshots of a child and toddler. By looking closely at the the clothing, viewers can see that they can either raise a girl or boy to become a farmer. Unfortunately, folks cannot choose a different career for them. However, they can interact with them as they grow older.

babyGrowing up with this farming simulator series, veterans are used to the traditional farming setting with folks tending to crops on a flat level surface. Now, they have a huge valley instead of small farmland to not only grow vegetation but also construct various buildings (a well, windmill, bridges, etc). With 32 terraforming floors, players can shape their ideal environment in any shape or form.

To see other the activities in action and available places to explore, checkout the screenshots in the “system” section from the site. This upcoming project offers many things that’s not covered in this one article.

Other Fun Facts:

  • You can create multiple barns
  • Some buildings can upgrade (except for barns, etc.)
  • Storyline cut-scenes cannot be skipped
  • You will not receive old boots or trash when fishing
  • No jumping or ladders exist

As a quick reminder, the game will arrive in North America on November 4 for the Nintendo 3DS. Europeans can expect this entry to arrive sometime in 2015 when Natsume announces a European publisher. To browse through the selections, here’s a quick access to the official website.
